Todays lesson: When fired upon, don’t REACT, instead, ACT. Reacting is random and unplanned. Acting is a rehearsed and preplanned course of action with expected results. Keep calm, be aware of and control the sudden adrenaline dump you’ll experience. Step 1. Take cover Step 2. Aim and shoot back Step 3. Access if your assailants aggression has ceased? ___ If not, reload and repeat step 2 until step 3 is accomplished. Step 4. Dial 911, calm down and recompose yourself, speak to the 911 operator clearly. Give the 911 operator your name, describe your physical appearance and indicate the fact you are armed then give the 911 operator the location of the incident and situation details.
